Market Day: There is still time to order qualifying desserts during Market Day's Dessert Bonus Days. If you have already placed your order, thank you. If not, we hope you will order today to support our school. Our goal this month is to sell 500 qualifying desserts to earn 45% of the profits. These proceeds will go towards PTA funded programs. Online ordering is available at:
www.marketday.com. To earn credit for pies and desserts purchased, paper orders are due in the office by February 27th and online orders are due by March 1st.
Pie pick up is Tuesday, March 5 from 6:15 - 7:00 p.m. If you are donating a dessert to Loaves and Fishes, you may leave the dessert at the donation table.
Fun Fair: Mark your calendars for Saturday, March 16th. The May Watts PTA Fun Fair will be held from 11:00a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at May Watts School. Make it a day of fun! The fun fair is an afternoon full of games, food, a silent auction and best of all... prizes. Come for an hour or stay all day. There are many items to bid on at our silent auction: Sunday brunch at Meson Sabika, tuition for one term at Von Heidecke School of Ballet, clubhouse box seats at Arlington Racecourse, or a week at an amazing vacation home in Cabo San Lucas! These are just a few items that you will be able to bid on during the silent auction.
Fun Fair Tickets: Get your tickets early. All activities, including the Cake Walk will require tickets. Only food and baked goods can be purchased with cash. Avoid the lines and buy your tickets in advance. Keep your eyes out for flyers coming home in backpacks.
Fun Fair Help: Throughout the years this event has been successful because of all our wonderful volunteers. There are many ways you can get involved and help out either before, during or after the fair. There are three different shift times during the fair so that you will still have time to enjoy the games with your kids. This is a great way for high school and middle school students to get their community service hours too.
FunFair Sweet Sale and Cake Walk: You're invited to participate in the Sweet Sale for the May Watts Fun Fair. Please help by donating a baked item as described below.
- For our famous Cake Walk: We are in need of 100 plates of cupcakes, decorated to cater to our younger participants. Frosting, sprinkles and any other yummy decorations are a big hit with the kids.
- For the Sweet Sale: Dozens of cookies, pies, brownies, bars, cakes, cupcakes, fudge, or anything sweet. Please label your item and whether it contains nuts.

Day of the Fun Fair Volunteers: To make this event successful, we need many volunteers to help staff the games, prize redemption, tickets, and food. The shift times are as follows: 11:00 - 1:00, 1:00 - 3:00, and 3:00 - 4:00 (for clean up). If you can help go to Sign Up Genius by Friday, March 1st.
Also remember to have your student log in his/her minutes for reading. They need to go to Reading Stars on the May Watts website. The students get different awards for reading 360 minutes.
Box Tops for Education: Thank you for taking the time to clip and submit Box Tops. The money we get for the Box Tops goes directly back to the school. Please continue to save Box Tops and send them with your child to school.
Every student who turns in a bag, envelope, or submission sheet through February 28th will earn a virtual raffle ticket. Two numbers will be randomly selected; each winner will receive a ten dollar I-Tunes gift card. Everyone is eligible regardless of the number turned in. Remeber to put your student's name and class on your submission.
Have a great week!
